Default A6 4.2 Oil Cooler

Hi...

Can any one please tell me whether removing the right side sway bar bracket is required in order to remove the right engine mount bracket (which contains the oil cooler)?

I'm trying to remove the right engine mount bracket so that I can change the broken plastic coolant transfer pipe in the oil cooler. I did a search on the forum but most of the posts didn't give detailed procedure/information about the actual removal of the right engine mount bracket (e.g. which parts are required to be removed - e.g. sway bar bracket, engine mount, etc.?)

Most posts were about how difficult it is to remove the 5 bolts of the engine mount bracket and the tricks to get to those 5 bolts.

Thanks in advance.

It may not have been necessary but I did drop the sway bar brackets…both sides. Big deal…with an air wrench it take 30 seconds.

The problem is that I have the H-sport upgraded sway bars and if I drop the brackets, it won't be as easy to put them back on compared to standard sway bar brackets.

Anyway, thanks for replying.
