Bad CV joint.

Automatic or manual? Does it go into gear and try to move or just wont go into gear? If it goes into gear and tries to move but wont you better hope its the CV joint, could be the trans. I usually trust the guru but wouldnt the rear tires still drive even if the front cv joints were totally gone?
Try to listen inside the car and out and tell us where the sound is coming from.

automatic transmission.
transmission and I disconnected the drive shaft on the front of the on the differential side gears and scraping. like run around and you put your hand on it stop the wheel

You disconnected the driveshaft(s) and the other wheel rotates? Was ist das?

That barely makes sense. I'm sorry I tried to read it four times I dint get what you're saying. Sounds like you're describing a cv joint or maybe the transfer case?
