Default 45 offset 17" wheels on 2000 A6

Will 17" rims with an offset of 45 work on a 2000 A6?

No mods, no big breaks, no suspension.

Default yes, they will work fine...

I had B5 S4 avus wheels that were 17x7.5" et45 offset for my winter setup on my former car (2001 2.7T). You might notice that the car will look like it is riding higher, an optical illusion because of the smaller sidewall on the tire.

Before any suspension mods...

After H&R coilovers were installed (and a few other cosmetic mods)...

thanks.

I got an amazing deal on the wheels/tires, but I was worried. Most seem to be running 35 offset.

Default What wheels did you get? Offest is not the ONLY factor, but it is one of the major ones...

..along with the spoke shape and wheel width.

Default if you can call it a beach...Nahant beach near where I used to work.

...it runs along the causeway between Lynn and Nahant in MA.

Default rim brand and tire size

the tires are 225/45 17

The rims are those cheap sport edition f7. tirerack suggests them for winter setups.

Considering I only paid 3K for the avant, and it needs some repairs I am not spending any more on wheels... not to mention the money pit that is the TT...

But I do love me some Audi!
