I need to do valve cover gaskets. I was going to buy the kit from Blauparts but is there a better kit? What do you think, Blauparts or another vendor? Suggestions?

I bought a set for my 4.2 from Blau and wasn't that happy with it, so I went with Victor Reinz brand from AutoHausAZ. The care with which you install is important as well, but it's always nice to start with quality parts.

I've had Blau and others and I think it's not the gasket as much as the application of the black RTV on the corners of the gasket and letting it cure for 24 hours. The highest priced gasket in the world won't seal w/o black RTV cured properly.

I would go with genuineaudiparts.com. it's oem, good price, and great shipping...there's no need to go anywhere else

Make sure that it's really the valve cover gasket and not something else like a cam adjuster seal.
