2001 A6 4.2 production numbers

It's been a while since I logged in, huh?
Anyways, I picked up an '01 A6 4.2 and was curious about production totals so I contacted Audi and they got in touch with me just a couple hours later.
Total 2001 A6 4.2 production in North America: 1,232
Figured i'd share that information since I wasn't able to find it myself via google or any Audi forums I checked out.

That's still more A6 4.2s than were sold in 2000, the first year IIRC. Audi's sales figures were rising back then.

Also, Vinrock refers to production totals, and I have to assume this is U.S. import totals. It would be interesting to see what worldwide production figures are for this model...then maybe a breakdown of export-to-country numbers. I looked around before posting this and have not found anything yet.
