I'm pretty sure only the passenger side changed size. Confirmation?

Default If your sig pic is YOUR car, showing the right mirror in background, then yes...
...you have the same mirror as the ones from the post "Nemo" mirror phase of the A6 (the "gimpy fin" on the right side). Those with the "nemo" mirrors have a slightly different driver side mirror as well, not as angled, but the one you pictured in your post, and the one seen in your sig, are the regular ones from 2001-2004.

If you are looking for heated and autdimming, I might have one more in the basement...I'll check.

Yep, BD is correct...the driver's side is different from 1998 to early 2000
