Hello!

I'm new at this forums. I have one question. It can S6 (from year 1999) has 300HP engine? Or this is A6 4.2 with nice leather seats, carbon interior, "S6" sign on gauges and front/rear of car, and "fat fenders" ? Please answer. /sorry for my bad english/

Now I think i understand what you are asking ... From what you pointd me towards you are saying the s6 sould have a 340hp engine amnd you are wondering why an S6 would have a 300HP engine.

is the car you ar looking at speced with a 300HP engine ?

I would say take the VIN to a delaer and they should be able to tell you the specs that the engine came with.

or at least look atthe car and get the engine code off it. With the engine code you are golden. The owners manual should tell you where to find it .

Your picture is of an S6, all of which came with the 340hp variant of the 4.2L and was only it was only available in 2002 and 2003 (in North America). The only engine option available on the North American 1999 C5 was a 2.8L V6.

Thanks for replies! I should tell that we are talking about car from Germany not North America. Owner said that will send me photo of sticker from trunk today. Will post this info later.

Okay, I know all. This "S6" is fake. It's A6 4.2Q with many interior/exterior parts from S6. Checked in authorized Audi service by VIN and other info from trunk sticker. Thanks everyone for replies!
