Could you elaborate a bit more on that? What parts? drive shaft? ECU? Harness? Its hard to believe that can be done, but I'd like to be convinced.

I understand the shop in AZ does it for $4K. Perhaps prices have increased, like everything else.

OK, here's a kit for $2700. Figure $1000-1500 labor, preto, $4200.

The rebuild I'm doing is $4519. The timing belt, water pump, thermostat, rear main seal and a couple of other minor things add to this total cost of $6111 (with tax).

I actually talked to the guys at Advanced Automotion on Monday and by the time you add Flywheel, Shim, Axles, Driveshaft, clutch, etc. it's $3697. They also quoted $400 in shipping. Then you add your $1500 in labor, that's $5597. Still super tempting but I need this car back up and running ASAP and the work is already underway.

About 20K miles ago….getting time for a fluid/filter change in 10K.
