Default '01 A6 2.7T: Rear/Backseat window controls do not work: childlock stuck on

My A6 has rear windows that can only be controlled by the front driver's controls. It seems as though the child-lock is permanently activated. I am getting sick of my friends saying "hey dad, can you put down my window?"
How would you guys go about fixing this?
Thanks,

-Sam

Take the switch apart and remove the springs in the child lock part of the switch, or just buy a new switch.

Do what bradw says. Works like a charm.

Thanks for the old thread link. But how do you remove the switch?

At the front of the armrest on the bottom is a small hole (1/8"?) you can slide a small screwdriver in there at about a 60 degree angle towards the back of the car and push up slowly. This will pop the switch assembly up out of the armrest. From there taking it apart is pretty straight forward, although tedious.
