If you setup your home address and have Homelink setup to open your garage, when you approach your house it automatically displays the garage opener button in the upper MMI screen!

It does it as well when you first startup the car, BUT as soon as you go into reverse it is wiped out by the reverse camera display. I guess if you back into your garage and pull out, it would have it ready to close the garage behind you.

Pretty neat and intelligent feature!

I don't have my home address setup and I get this feature.

When programing the homelink it said that my GPS position was recorded, I believe it uses the GPS position.

It does not require "home address"; it uses GPS position. During the homelink setup it asks if you want to record the GPS position. I recorded the GPS position for my garage door and my parents' garage door so it the opener button pops on the MMI screen when I get home or when I go visit my parents. Pretty neat, indeed.

yeah, pretty cool feature. My only problem with it is that the homelink notice on the screen doesn't stay on long enough. I will get the notice when I'm about 1 house away from mine which means that the signal doesn't always reach the garage door opener from that distance, but by the time I turn into my driveway, the notification has already disappeared. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to give me another few seconds.
