Audi Traffic Dash Cam vs NextBase Dash Cam
Will be getting 2 new front tyres in new year so was thinking of getting a front/rear dash cam installed at same time.
Have been getting it serviced with main dealer, want to stick with main dealer while the car is still in warranty at least.
Previously, it was possible to get this front/rear Audi traffic dash cam from main dealers:
https://www.audishop.ie/accessories/...ic-dash-camera
It now looks like they have added this Nextbase option also:
https://www.audishop.ie/accessories/...e-dash-cameras
Does anyone have any idea or experience on how they compare against each other?
The hardware and the accompanying software/apps that come with them.
Based in Ireland, imported the car from UK...it was a demo model.
Thanks

The description in your post's option#1 states:
Event Mode
As to Parking Mode, understand that the camera will require power during those "up to 72 hours" and there should be an in-line automatic voltage monitor that cuts the battery draw when the battery diminishes to a pre-determined level, say 12.3 volts.
For example, look at the specifications of the BlackVue 900 2 channel dash camera (granted, 4k video and more spendy than either of your listed options) as an example of features that may/may not be important to you.

This being said, I hope you never need the dashcam...
Event Mode
- • Impact triggered recording
- • If the acceleration sensor exceeds its threshold, the recorder will immediately begin recording the relevant data
