2014 A6 Prestige 3.0 too quiet!
What suggestions are out there to get a bit more engine noise out of the exhaust on my new 2104 A6 3.0T? Super fast but want to hear it!!

Exhaust and intake.
Exhaust will make a huge difference. I have the Stasis and I like it. There are other options and a search on this forum will bring up the opinions on your options.
The intake will help you hear the supercharger wind up.
Both items will not boost your HP to ridiculous numbers, and your cruising speed sound will be nice. You will hear a difference and it will sound impressive.

I wish you could tune the exhaust up a notch as in the s4's.
But I never really heard anything from my a6 the first 6 months in terms of engine or exhaust sounds.
If you have 20's, the hum and god awful noise of the pirelli zeros is all I heard. Once I switched tires, I could hear and focus a little more on the exhaust note and actually hearing the engine.
I do enjoy it a lot more now, although wish I could make it a tad more aggressive.
It's a shame those those tires really rob the the driving experience. I'll never give pirelli another dollar of my money if I can help it.

The PZeros are TERRIBLE. They harmonize on certain roads and are extremely loud.
Which tires did you upgrade to?
As far as the exhaust.. .I hear 'ya. I'm planning on getting either AWE Touring or STASiS exhaust. The A6 is meant to be elegant and quiet not aggressive. The only way you're going to get any aggressiveness out of it is aftermarket parts.

There are few choices for 20" all seasons.
I would have gone with the new Michelin Pilot AS3, but it came out this summer and I had already gotten new tires. I saw an ad for the new Toyo Proxies 4 Plus all season tires.
At about ~$130 a piece, to buy 4 brand new 20" tires for under $600 shipped to my house, it was worth the risk.
It's a nice tire for the money. The handling and traction is quite good and I don't miss the grip of the P Zeros. Although a summer tire is always go to let you push the car a little harder.

No offense fellas, but I have a 2014 A6 3.0 and love the quite cabin. The engineers at Audi spent a lot of time silencing the cabin, and i think its great. Now to each, his own, and all but if you wanted to hear the engine why not opt for the S4? You get the same engine, with less weight, less luxury, and more roar. I suppose if you really did want to listen to the engine in a luxury sedan you could:
Turn off the Bose Audio Pilot
Rip out all the felt soundproofing under the hood
Buy and aftermarket intake/exhaust
As for the PZero discussion. I just put a set on my 20's. I don't notice any added road noise compared to the 18" all seasons. I drive regularly on the German Autobahns and have zero complaints at speeds up to 120mph+
I just freakin love this car, and I'm fortunate enough to be able to enjoy it in its natural habitat.

I did not spend the money to upgrade my audio system with aftermarket components after buying the car to have it drowned out by engine and road noise. I love being able to appreciate music the way it is meant to sound
