When I start the car or begin to drive off after starting it, there is a sound that can only be described as the wiper first moving from being dried on the windshield, if that helps. I assure you the wipers are not being used, in fact they have only used them twice (living in AZ mind you). It sounds as if it is originating in front of the passenger in the engine compartment. Because this happens unexpectedly and infrequently, I have no way to monitor it from the outside and hear from there.

It's been intermittent on my car, but has recently become more and more frequent. It first started making this noise about 5 months ago, but since there have been no warning lights or malfunction indicators.

Ironically, today after driving off the dealer service lot, it happened, though this was not the reason I brought it in.

Thank you sir. Seems as though I searched for everything but the wipers themselves, my web history is nothing but google searches now.
