It came with my car.
To those saying it doesn't exist in NA A6's: I can confirm it's there and it works on my U.S. 2013 A6 Prestige.
With the key fob in my pocket, I stick my foot under the rear bumper a couple of times and in about 2 seconds, the trunk pops open.
Most of the time.

There could be some relationship to one of the door lock settings in the MMI - not sure, I'll check my settings again. In the meantime, try sticking that foot in, out and around under the bumber a few times with the car doors locked. I know it looks silly, but it does work about 75% of the time for me. Honest.
