Default Tinted my windshield

Today I got my windshield tinted. I have 35% on my Acura TL but it gets hard to see at night when its raining and its a cop magnet so I settled with 50% this time......can't say its much different in terms of darkness, its the same! LOL! On the inside its much lighter though, lets see how the cops like this one?

Here is my TL with 35%.

Today it was 104 degrees here in NY, the windshield really helped with the heat! No more need for sun visors either!

Let me know what you guys think!

Wow, I thought you were joking about that. Looks good, but can you actually see with that?

Wow! Is it even visible to see out at night? At 50%, let alone 35%!?!?

I think 50% is too dark at night...I'm think about doing it with 70%.
if I can find a shop who carries 70%

I am also in NY. The first day I got my windshield tinted on the TL I was pulled over by 3 cops at the same time.....it was a cloudy rainy day and I passed them on the opposite lane....5 min later I see all three of them right on my @$$. They let me off with a warning....never got pulled over again (knock on wood).

I also don't have the registration/inspection stickers on lol....have had the plates on for a few weeks now. Have to find a guy that does inspection who will actually give me the sticker, might go back to the guy that did my TL but he is far =/. Most of the local inspection guys near me won't even touch the car if it has a tinted windshield.

Seeing outside is fine at night. Even with 35% its perfect but if its raining its hard to see on unlit roads....nothing bixenon lights cant fit . If you live in the city 35% is fine lol.....I know some people that have 20% on the windshield.

Someone I know has a 2011 550i and he has double limo 5% all around and 20% on the windshield. Now this setup is crazy, if you were to ever venture out of the city you would not be able to see much. It does look awesome though. Not for me though.

Ok I'll rant. I think dark tint in general looks ghetto. This is just what I think and doesn't really matter if you like it.
Then on the windshield is just socially irresponsible. How would you like to run over your kid or neighbor kid at night because of what you think is functional or looks good. I lived in Vegas with black on black Audis and never put more than medium on my cars because I didnt like the getthe look and didnt even mind it. The regular tint helped regardless.
I know, this is my opinion.
What is it with east coast style? On the Mercedes forum I'm in for my wife's 2012 ml. Some new York guy put hideous chrome rivetted rims on one and just looked terrible. I guess LA style is just different.
Style wise do whatever you want, but I just hope no one gets hurt. I don't know you but I gave my friend here the same grief about tinting his acura here too.
At least you don't drive around my neighborhood.

I appreciate your opinion and respect it but I actually have a eye condition in where I cannot drive at night for more than an hour without having a serious migrane. My eyes are very light sensitive and even during the day I tend to avoid the direct sunlight because of my condition. I actually have a small doctors note as well explaining my condition, sunlight, bright headlights, strobe lights all take a toll on my eyes.

And secondly, 50% windshield tint is not as dark as it seems, its actually very light. I consider "ghetto" tint 5% which is "limo", 20% is fine, you can see me driving lol, its not "pitch black dark".
