Steering Wheel Cleaning
It is starting to get a little shiny and sticky so it's time for a cleaning. What type of products and cleaning methods are some of you guys using for the steering wheel?

(Leather Master is the OE supplier to Audi USA.)
I use the Strong Cleaner applied with a damp sponge. I will use a soft tooth brush or finger nail brush to gently scrub the perforated leather. I wipe dry with a clean MF towel. I repeat this process 'til the steering wheel looks clean.
I do NOT apply anything else...they tend to make the situation worse and often leave a sticky feel. I think you'll need to do this 2X annually unless you have greasy/dirty mitts.

One thing I do when new is wipe the wheel with a damp microfiber cloth every week or two to prevent the oils from your skin from building up and soaking in. I also avoid all hand lotions and such and do my best to have cleaned my hands before I drive. Yeah I am OCD and ****, and it is not always possible. Another thing I do is wipe the wheel down after it has been in for service because those service guys never clean their hand that well.

Get a bottle of Lexol. Spray it onto a microfiber towel and wipe down the steering wheel. Then wipe it down with a warm, damp towel. If there are dust, crumbs, etc in the cracks, seams, or the Audi logo, use a clean paint brush to brush it off.
