Sirius XM subscription magically turns back on
It's alive!!! (had to say it)
This is for a US-Spec C7
Like most people here, when my free trial to SiriusXM expired, I let it go. I mainly use my iPhone or regular radio anyway, so I didn't miss it. That was back in February.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I am driving home and I start seeing the traffic coloring on my navigation screen. Puzzled by this I got to the Sirius "Radio" menu and the activation message is gone and I am staring at a list of the SiriusXM stations. I then navigate to the "Info" menu and there also the activation message has been replaced by traffic data.
I have not had any communication with SiriusXM since my trial subscription expired.
Has this happened to anyone else?

SiriusXM and Audi announced recently that Sirius Traffic would be free for all 2013 Audi models that have Nav+ for 4 years. I wonder if they backdated to include 2012's?
Are you getting broadcast channel content as well or just the traffic?

Sirius and XM will turn on radios for a couple weeks for past customers to try and get you to sign up. I'm on my second trial period on my '12 A6 and just got a notice that the trial on my '08 A6, that I sold last year, is about to expire.
I can't seem to convince them that I no longer have the '08 so just let them do their thing.
There is no one at the helm at corporate headquarters.

The press release said free traffic for 4 years is only for 2013's with Nav Plus. I thought the OP was referring to traffic only but since he's getting the full meal deal on his 2012, the free traffic deal doesn't appear to be related. At $3.99 a month, traffic is still not a terrible deal.

Here's to hoping SiriusXM is being generous to us MY2012 and left the freebie switch on.
Either way, $4/month for traffic is fine.

Picked my Q5 6 weeks ago. The Sirius trial subscription was activated. The traffic (Info button) gave information that was 150 to 200 miles away. The Dealer had no clue. Then the traffic info just stopped. "No information available". After several calls (each call about 35 minutes) to Sirius Tech. Support (5 of those calls on HOLD and then dropped)I got nowhere. They tryed the "Magic Master Reset" button ----- nothing. The last call was left with the Tech. support dude saying ---- "Someone call you about 7 to 10 days, anything more I help you with". What a bunch of morons.
