By confusion I meant such a large price difference between the $100 and $250 EW total price, thats all.
So you experienced Audi guys recommend Troy's quote and product I assume?
If so then its good enough for me and thank you.
I don't buy any of these extended warranties. I invest the money toward future repairs - a better bet than the Las Vegas warranty gamble where the house on average will always win. Also, too many exclusions.

Fifty five percent of consumers never use their extended warranties.

On one GM forum many people lost when their popular warranty company went out of business.

Sorry you are right, bad choice of words. It should be Audi-branded extended warranty provided by Fidelity. According to Troy, if the car still has a year left on the factory warranty you can still purchase it. My dealer takes it so I am happy enough.

I think for $2300 (what I paid for an extra 6/60 beyond the 3 years I've had the car already) is well worth some piece of mind for a car I will keep for a long time. I am willing to pay a $250 deductible to keep costs down. Keep in mind that my high cost of living area jacks up dealer service prices like you wouldn't believe.

An "extra" 6y/60mi for $2300? Not to be picky, but in the interest of clarification for new folks here considering an extended warranty, that would provide only 1 extra year or 10K miles (whichever comes first) beyond the factory 4y/50K warranty. The named extended warranties are inclusive of the OEM warranty, not additive. Another example: a $4K+ 7y/100K Fidelity warranty would provide an additional 3y/50K mi whichever comes first.

thanks guys as this is seemingly falling apart when we crunch the "buck for the bang" factor.

You paid $2,300 for what is essentially an extra 10k miles of coverage for the typical driver and you are on the hook for the first $250 of each repair during that 10k miles? Please tell me that I am mistaken.

As I mentioned the car is 3 years old already. I just checked the fine print, and my 6 years and 60k start on my service contract date, which is when I bought the warranty. Which means I am covered for an additional 6 years (so around 2020) or 60k miles beyond my certified odometer reading as the start of the contract.

I had already checked this point with Troy before ordering the plan, and the terms agree. Now as for weird things that might not be covered even under the platinum warranty, I don't have any insight.

Which company? Most of these warranties run from the "service date", i.e. When the car was originally put into service. I am not trying to give you a hard time. I put 140,000 miles on my current Audi and have just ordered a new one. I would love to find a warranty company that adds 100k miles onto the original 50,000 mile warranty.
