I heard through the grapevine there is a fix for the stereo seperation issue. Ask your dealer to look in to this.

For 2012 Audi C7 owners, the software update to KO566 should correct this. I have PO566 is my 2013 A6 and have no HD radio mono/one channel only problems. That said, HD radio is not the greatest unless you have a strong signal. Signal loss is typical if you aren't within close range; unlike analog radio, the weaker HD radio digital signal just drops out completely at a certain signal strength. Even though the FCC granted a power increase for HD radio in 2010, not all stations have taken advantage of it and for those that have, it doesn't always seem to make a big difference.

Since my upgrade to K0566 (I have a P+ with the Concert system), my FM HD radio has locked in much better, and sounds good. I actually prefer the analog sound most of the time... Sirius sounds tinny to me, and HD has a little of that going too - at a minumum, I would adjust my sound differently if I were listening to a lot of HD radio.

Having said, my HD AM stations have disappeared completely. I was in Denver this week (LOTS of AM HD stations), and even forced a rescan, and its not coming back. Oddly, the highest power AM Station in the west would not even come up in the list of available stations (analog either). I could tune it manually, and the quality was good (as an AM station gets, which is not very good). Wouldn't you know, its the only AM station that I ever want to listen to (for Broncos and Rockies games). Oh well, I have it on a preset, which works fine.

Its a very low priority item for me... Ill bring it up with my service advisor the next time Im in (which could be 10K miles from now).

I haven't seen any AM HD stations since I got my 2013 which came with 0566. Maybe there aren't any in the Boston-Providence area but it would be surprising. Perhaps with the 0566 software, it stopped receiving them for some reason.
