So what did they say was needed for parts? Hood, headlight, bumper cover are all the obvious parts and those can all be picked up in a matching color from a salvage yard.

But yeah at that age and mileage there is not much value left in it. When we traded out 12 A7 in we got $2500 for it at 234,000 miles

I think the cost was high because they don't use salvage parts which most body shops can't warranty. Without even diving deeper than what was visible it was already over $6k in repairs according to the adjuster. The car was also hit hard enough to moved it from how it was parked so other hidden damage was possible.

Salvage parts are going to depend on where you live. For me in Indiana they have to use OEM parts if the vehicle is less than 5 years old. Older than 5 then then they can use aftermarket or salvage.

The new ride looks nice, what year? Which motor?

21 3.0T. I almost got a 23 Arteon but the Audi felt nicer on the road.
