Has anyone here changed the ATF in an automatic 8 speed? I have a 2012 A6 with 65K WELL driven miles on the OD and need to change the filter and fluid. I have a lift looked underneath and seen a part that is the way(over the rear of the transmission pan) that looks like it needs to be removed to get the pan off. If anyone has the procedure, pics or advice please share.

To the best of my knowledge the transmission oil is suppose to be good for 150K miles, unless you drive your car hard such as at track events. In which case may be that mileage should be cut in half.

As far as changing it your self I have no idea what the procedure is. I plan on having the dealer do mine in another 20K or so. That would be around 75K. Keep in mind that have tracked my car over a dozen times so it has seen some hard fun driving.
