Default polarized glasses and HUD

HUD is not visible with polarized driving glasses sadly..looks like a nighttime only use?

Well, scientifically the HUD works on the principle of light reflection. Polarized glasses cut-down the reflected light. Unfortunately, making the HUD almost invisible. I suggest using non-polarized sunglasses instead.

Try tilting your head to the left or right. Mine works best when I tilt it to the right. Next pair of prescription sunglass's going to ask if I can select the angle of polarization.

I was unable to see the HUD when I had polarized lenses with a gray tint. When I switched to polarized lenses with a brown tint the HUD was now visible. So it seems that the tint plays a role in the issue.

Haven't tried it with my C7, but when I had my C6 I found that with polorized glasses the navigation display and the display between the dials was impossible to read, due to the Audi screens being polorised at 90 degrees to way in which the sunglasses were polorised

Just my experience but I find HUD, NAV etc. works great with Maui Jim sunglasses after having tried other grey types and non-prescription or whatever works fine -- visibility is stunning all the time, even in tunnels!

I can confirm that non-polarized lenses work great with the HUD

I had HUD in my BMW M6 before so I had to get a pair of non polarized sunglasses to drive in that car :-)

This solution has worked for me since day one. Very, very slightly to the right is what works for me.
