Painted Brakes and tinted Tails
Hey guys,
Just got on the forum today and purchased my Audi about a month ago. Got a chance today to do some quick mods. Let me know what you think.
Right Side is Tinted, Left is stock

Welcome to the forum.
Tinted tails-no, looks ricer-esque.
Painted calipers-love the color, quality of application is no bueno.
So, both are thumbs down IMHO.
But as KevinGary said, your car.

Anybody that thinks that tinted tail lights do not reduce the luminous output, failed physics 101. Most tints that I have seen makes the car significantly more difficult to see at angles other than perpendicular to the rear of the car and is therefore reducing your ability to be seen. As I have previously stated, if you get rear ended and the insurance company proves that the light levels are diminished below that set by the law then you will be on your own. Not to mention that your whiplash for life will not be compensated for.
If you think that you prefer the form over function then go for it but be aware of the consequences, again it's your car and it's your liability.

Sorry, would never tint a tail lamp.....never know when you're being followed by a senior citizen with deteriorating vision on some rainy night or some other scenario where the amount of illumination originally intended would have been helpful. Actually doesn't even look any better to me, apart from the illumination issue....the red color on the left is quite pleasing.

Hey welcome to the forum. Kudos on the DIY attempt. Like most mods it sometimes takes trial and error to see if you'll like the mods or not. Great thing about doing it yourself is it can be undone or changed.
No matter the opinions... it is your car so glad you're enjoying building it to your preference.
Congrats on what seems to be your first mods, and enjoy that beautiful machine. = )

Tinted tails make it look more like the 2016 since it has tinted tails.
In my experience I've seen people behind me in traffic at night hold up their hands to shield their eyes from the blinding tail lights on my 2015 so light tint probably cuts down to reasonable levels. LOL
Front led blinkers are the same crazy intensity. Street signs at night look like I'm flashing my high beams at them. First Audi I've ever had that exhibit this behavior.
