I believe the HUD pedestrian warning is on all model if you have those features. The feature is called "Night vision assistant with pedestrian detection and head-up display" and I have it in my 2012 - though I've not seen it pop up.

Feature is on my 2012 and I've see it pop up on occasion. It usually only shows in Hud as a red pedestrian figure when car senses a person really really close to path of travel. So basically only if you are in far right lane on public street and you come across a person just ahead of you getting into their parked car on side of road... the system will identify that as "too close for comfort" and display warning when night vision assistant is turned on.

The warning (RED) only show up in the HUD if the car is moving and someone is crossing directly in front of your path and you will hit him/her at current speed.
If the car is not moving, no warning in either HUD or DIS if someone is crossing directly in front of you.
As long as the car is moving, pedestrian do show up as yellow squares on DIS.
