High Pitched Noise In Drivetrain
I have noticed (when cold) my car emits a high pitched whine in the drivetrain while coasting or during very light acceleration. As soon as the car gets to operating temps or on warmer days its not there. I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this

Totally!!!! Glad someone else hears that. 3.0T right. It has been very cold here in Iowa and when I drive the car after being in the parking lot all day it whines. Goes away as it heats up.

I find when it is cold outside, like 40 and below when the car is first driven the drivetrain whines until it arms up a little. Not sure if this is a lube thing where grease and lube in the starts and such needs to loosen up.

Thanks for the replies. I guess this is "normal" although it doesnt seem like it should do this. Its my first awd car so I assume its the drivetrain making noise when cold then once the fluids warm up its happy

Whats the equivalent of having accessory power?
Left my windows down the other day, and I had to start the engine to be able to roll them up again. In my older Audi's, there was accessory ignition where all power items would work without having to crank the engine. Can this be done with the C7 with the push-button start?
