Car does not start sometimes
Hi, I'm new to the forum. Hopefully this is posted in the correct place.
I have a 2012 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro. I have recently been having issues with the car starting properly. Sometimes it starts without problem. Sometimes it starts but struggles and seems like the engine is struggling to get to the right idle for a few extra seconds. But I'll estimate like once a week it just does not start. I've had to get it towed home once, but it started up the next morning without a struggle. I took the car to a mechanic shop that had a certified Audi Technician and they told me me the issue was the Crankcase Oil Separator/PCV Assembly. They said that my car is running lean because air is escaping. The O2 sensors are fine they said. The starter is fine as well they said. The only problem I have is that I had someone else check the pressure and there was not pressure escaping. I have not spent the $1400 to get it fixed because they will not guarantee their work. I would like a guarantee before forking over that much money.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Sidenote I did have a code that came and left within a day or 2. P0172 (System Too Rich Bank 1)
