Default Loaner Request

I am taking my A6 in to the dealer for a warranty repair. Do you think the dealer would be receptive to me requesting an A7 as a loaner as I am considering purchasing one later this year or next?

Depends on the dealer... just ask. My dealer would have no problem with it, but it might require a conversation with someone in sales first.

Default Just Ask

I had mine in last week. Rear left taillight had moisture in it. I told them I had clients coming in (I did) and next thing I knew I had an A8 L 4.0.

Pretty car and fun with all the massage seats etc. (Made me glad I got a 6 since its soo big and feels like a tank)

Just ask...

For my 5k tune up, I got an A7 without even asking.

When I went in for my last service, my dealer let me request what they had available.

I requested the A6 2.0 Quattro, because I was curious how the car would feel with the smaller engine.

I had an A7 last time I brought it in. I am leaving shortly to drop mine off and all I know is I am getting an Audi as I did request an Audi loaner. I like the element of surprise. My dealer will sub out Enterprise if someone looks for first avaiable service time, so it is important to at least ask for an Audi first, than see what they can do on a specific one.

I think it really just depends on what they have available. Your best bet is to get the appointment as earlier as possible. My local service dept opens at 8:00am and I've noticed when I get there in/around 8:00, I have a wider choice.

Another angle would be to give your saleperson the heads up that you might be in the market for an A7 and a loaner would go long way in helping you make a decision. He can then work the internal system to get you what you need.
