The dealer just got it wrong. What he meant to say was it would cause more wear and tear on the remote button which, each time when pressed, would result in a tiny drop of dealer profitability, which over time, would cause his entire Audi dealership infrastructure to fail monumentally.

Dealer should know better
When I brought in my A6 for its first service, I asked the service advisor to program the windows open feature using the key fob. The SA stated that it was not advisable since it may cause additional wear and tear on the window motors, thus, if the motor burns out, it may not be covered under warranty if this feature is activated. Not sure how opening the windows using the key fob causes more wear and tear vs. using the door controls but I didn't follow up with Audi Canada to see if this was a true statement and just decided to leave it alone. Anyone else heard this from their dealership?

When I bought my Lexus RX350 in 2010 (which replaced an older model RX300), I noticed that the new Lexus didn't have the ability to open all the windows with a key fob. My Lexus SA told me a similar story about the manufacturer worrying about the wear and tear on the window motors, thus, discontinuing this feature. So I guess it's not just Audi that believes this will harm the window motors LOL
