I did the search on audiworld and google and no definite comments. 2012 A6 C7 3.0T. Do we have launch control or not?
The tranny is 8-speed tiptronic (as per window sticker, not the DSG).

A6, not. S6, yes.

My 2013 A6 3.0T manual says yes if you have the S tronic transmission (page 110). Do the A6 3.0 cars have a transmission option?

No. The s tronic is the DSG which is not available here in the US.

Not sure if this is what you are asking...but put the car in "S", make sure in dynamic, turn traction control off, press and hold brake, rev to 3000rpm, let go of brake and you are off!

This is exactly what I was saying, no consensus. Some people say that we do not have Launch control and some people say we do.
My question was: “Do we have one or not?” I do know how to use it as I had it on my 2008 TT with DSG. My A6 feels very different when I try to launch it as if I have Launch Control.

The fact is, only the Audi DSG (S-Tronic) transmission cars have Launch control. US A6/A7 do not have DSG available so no Launch Control. S6/S7's have DSG so they have it.
If stepping on the brake pedal, revving the engine and releasing the brakes was the criteria for Launch Control, then all auto transmission cars ever made have had it. Google it - all references to Launch Control are coupled to the DSG tranny.
