Default I got it bad...

First post, but a long time lurker. I purchased a CPO 2012 3.0T A6 Prestige w/ B&O, Innovation package, and 19" sport ~about a year ago and it has been a fantastic car. Only problems I've had was the car burning oil and the water pump. Both issues, fixed under warranty good to go. I took the car in for service today and they gave me a loaner 2014 Prestige w/ innovation, sport, and cold weather packages. I can't help myself, I really want to make a move to a '14. But is it worth it? I do have 50k miles on my '12 if that's helpful.

If I was in your position, I would hang onto the 12 a little longer. You already took the big depreciation hit and there is a facelift coming.

It's not economical to make that move. If it were me I'd wait for a 2016 or 2017 face lifted model. But of course it isn't always about the money. If you can afford it and want it there's no reason you have to wait. Get a 15 now and then a 17 in two years. I lease and like to get a new one every 3 years. Enjoy!

It may not be economical to do, there might be a face lift coming, and the sky might falling. You already know what you want. Why do you need someone to back up your idea of what makes you happy?

You want a new car, then buy one. Don't deny yourself because of what others say.

Life is short. Be happy.

Life may not be about materialistic things but damn they sure do make it fun!!!

Isn't it essentially the same car?

True. It does have the front and side view camera's that I miss from my Infiniti and unlike most, I like the Bose better than the B&O. But, I think I may wait for the facelift. I just don't like having a car out of manufacturer's warranty but it is CPO'd so that should take care of most issues.

You can retrofit the side and front view cameras if that's what you're after, and this way, you'll save ton of money compared to selling your 12 and buying a new 14.

Can this be retrofitted with premium plus model ? Who would do this -- audi dealer or 3rd party ?

Really, I didn't know that. Is there a DIY somewhere?
