I believe the 2012 cars are being built from week 22 onwards (end of the month). I'm currently scheduled for 23, but it's just been moved to the exclusive queue because of the paint job, so it will probably be a little later :-(

What paint colour did you order?

It's one of the colours for the RS5 (and originally on the A8 D3 special edition), Panther Black. The Mrs is paying for that as she wanted something subtly different, at least she's paying something ! :-)

Great choice! Panther Black is an outstanding colour! We just sold a Panther Black TTS and are expecting a Panther Black S4 any day now.

MY2012 updates for the european A6 include:

- removal of chrome tipped exhausts option for the SE
- rear number plates illuminated with LED's instead of bulbs
- 3.0 TDI multitronic emmissions from 137 g/km to 133 g/km , fuel economy up from a combined 54.3 mpg (UK) to 55.4 mpg (45 US -> 46 US). With the same power and torque.
- Removal of analogue TV option, leaving just the digital tuner
- Some addition function within the DAB radio module
- An additional function of the power boot (trunk) button - needless to say, it doesn't actually say what the function is.
- Introduction of a new colour - glacier white. It's not currently available though.
