I guess I never had that problem. I had a car for like 18 months, and never had anybody sit in the back lol

I have to respectfully disagree about the Acura's interior. My wife has an '11 MDX and the last time she had it serviced they gave her a new TL as a loaner. The center consule was hideous! It looked too busy and cheap and the lcd screen (media and time display) looks about 10 years past its prime.

I totally agree with cupholders. They are a joke. Esp for US where most of the coffee or soda cups are freakin huge and don't fit well. I think right one is a bit bigger than the left.
Another thing I miss (and I just might be quite an exception here) is the lack of chapter support in Audiobooks when connected to iPods or even Jukebox. Most cars have it. When 2010 A6 did not have it, I was sure 2012 would. But no. Plan to call AoA about it. That should be a software update.

in tiptronic mode or regular? Mine is smooth as butter in Drive, but if I go into Tip, and manually change the gears, 1st to 2nd is really harsh

1) I agree, as does everyone here almost, the cup holders really blow.

2) in tip tronic, my 1st to 2nd is SLIGHTLY harsher than any other gear shift but it's negligable.

3) I think the seats could be more comfortable but I don't hate them enough to complain.

4) Brakes, I agree. I have yet to find the perfect braking method that doesn't stop the car abruptly. Possibly cause my brakes are still breaking in? (only at 700 miles).

5) Center console, meh.

6) The rear view camera does take a second to start up and it also takes a second to go away when I put the car from reverse to drive. Seems kinda odd.

7) MMI does take a while to boot up, doesn't really concern me too much.

8) Interior is great to me.

I agree with what others are saying about the braking. In addition, when slowing down, the shift from 2nd to 1st (in auto mode) sometimes is harsh, to say the least.

Also, I wish they had put some additional sound deadening material in

+1 The shifting is more abrupt between gears 1 and 2 and the brakes "grap" just at the point of stopping (no matter how smooth I try to slowly stop). Just minor points. The DSG is more abrupt on my former Audi at low speeds so I can't really complain about the A6 transmission. I found the interior noise level to be good except for the tire noise with the 20 inch tires (my 18 inch Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds are quieter).

Have to agree. My wife drives an '09 MDX and we've had a few Acuras as loaners. Not impressed with the materials and no where near the quality of the Audi. Audi does have a very staid look that some may feel is of less quality, but spend more time in it and you'll notice the difference in fit and finish. I've grown to really like the C7 interior and think it a significant improvement over the C6, for instance.
