Driving me crazy. I only have 3375 miles on it. Having a hard time finding where it's coming from and what's the cause. Anyone else experience this and if so, what did you do to correct it? Thanks.

Identifying the location of noises emanating from within a car is extremely difficult. As an example while driving on rough pavement i could swear I had a rattling noise coming from the passenger side of the dash. When I finally drove the car with my service advisor he said it was more from my side and started pressing and pushing portions of the dash to see if it would go away.

Finally he opened the sunglass holder and my slim sunglasses with metal arms was the culprit! problem solved.

I think the best thing to do is to ride with someone and have them try to identify the location with you. Pressing against the dash may help identify what is causing the noise (unless it is something lose within the dash.

That's a great story about the sunglasses! I had a similar experience with loose change. Luckily I figured it out on my own.

My 14' dash was squeaking the other day, people probably thought I was crazy smacking everything.

For me, it sounded like it was coming from behind the MMI screen, randomly little rattling or from behind the rearview mirror. regardless though it wasn't there the next day
