I LITERALLY JUST HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM BUT I TOOK THE CAR TO THE AUDI DEALER FOR THE DIAGNOSIS. THE EPC LIGHT WAS ON THE CAR WAS SHAKING LIKE CRAZY AND THE WEEK BEFOR I CHANGED COIL NUMBER 1 AND 3 WITH NEW SPARK PLUGS. LONG STORY SHORT I HAD A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER #2. SO I CHANGED THE COIL AND SPARK PLUG. THE NEXT DAY I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. MISFIRE IN #4 AND #6. CHANGED THEM BOTH NOW THE CAR IS RIDING PERFECTLY. CHANGE ALL PLUGS AND THE COILS. SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM

My 2013 A4 had 66K miles. Never had a problem with it and then the EPC and check engine light go on while driving on the highway. Turns out the piston failed, cause a backfire in cylinder 2 and a terrible chain of events. I was told that I need an entirely new engine for $13,000 and Audi will provide 0 assistance. This story has become fairly common. I'm left with a beautiful paperweight with a $3500 balance. The dealership and 2 independents all stated that there was nothing I did wrong, the piston just failed. Never Audi.
