So last winter I tried opening the sunroof on an icy day (it exits my cigar smoke) and it failed to open. Whe I removed the motor/gear I saw the culprit, a broken small gear attached to the motor shaft. Found it on e-bay for cheap, replaced it, but now functionality is failing. It will not slide back, it will only tilt up, but then quickly automatically tilts back. I am able to partially click several times to step tilt upward, but too many times, it comes back down.

Any ideas? Motor seems to work. Out of ideas.
