Sorry if this has come up, searched but didn't find anything.

I have all voice prompts for the navigation turned off. My commute covers a 15-mile stretch of highway which has been undergoing widening for the past two years (and will continue for another five). Just recently, the Nav became aware of the construction, and puts up warnings in the turn-by-turn (which is fine). But it ALSO gives me verbal warnings, even though I have these turned off. I get two warnings every time I come home. The worst part is that (I assume) because these aren't seen as "regular" navigation instructions, if I'm playing music/podcasts/etc. from my phone the source material isn't paused.

I can't figure out how to turn these off. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried:

Menu>Info>Settings>Traffic Report>OFF

Otherwise, the manual states:

Voice Guidance:
Nav>Settings>Voice Guidance:
Complete, Compact and Off
"When OFF is selected, only important announcements are given during route guidance".
This would seem to indicate that if OFF, it will still speak on certain events if you are navigating. Doesn't mention it will do so if not navigating to a destination though.

I'll have to check my settings but I don't get road construction announcements, even when navigating to a destination - just on the MMI info screen. (I think I have it set to Compact).

Forgot to follow up: this did the trick. Didn't even think of the traffic report. Thanks a bunch!
