Considering a CPO A6...reliability?
We had a 2005 A8 that we kept until 2015. Few repairs that were fairly expensive. I am considering a 2013 CPO A6 Premium Plus 2.0 or 3.0
My question regards reliability. I keep cars a while, so I want to make sure that the A6 is a reliable car. My service writer will run the vin on anything I look at, so he can tell if any warranty claims, etc.
All advice feedback welcome

They're reasonably reliable, but as with the older A8 they will be expensive to OEM repair (maybe more so). With my S6, I figured is was worth it to get an extended warranty given how many more things there are to go wrong in these cars and that my S6 has almost every option, and there's more tech on my S6 to go wrong than in an A6.

I'm currently at 122k on my 12' A6. So far, mine has been great. Obviously my warranty ran out a long time ago, but I do my own Maint which so far has just been oil/filters and brake changes.

More fun than it looks, actually! This is part of the beauty of the car to me.
Above average reliability, I do believe it. You just have to be prepared that if something goes wrong, it's going to be quite a bit more expensive to repair than a Japanese or "American" (in quotes since most aren't really American) brand. My dealer says there are two types of used Audi buyers: The buyer that knows it seems like a good deal because of pretty good depreciation yet knows they have to be prepared to drop a few thousand as needed, and the aspirational buyer that can scrape by to get into an Audi and is up a creek without a paddle when something goes wrong. As such, someone making just above minimum wage should not buy a well used A8...

I was in the same boat as you and asked the same questions. I just bought a 2012 a6 3.0t with 20k miles. I bought it knowing that is has the warranty ( original and CPO) and figured that in the worst case, if I have some issues in the first 2 years, I get it fixed for next to nothing and I can get rid of it and move on if I want. If nothing pops up, then you know you got a good one and should be fine beyond the warranty for a while if you do the necessary maintenance.
I am not an Audi loyalist, but do love how they look and drive and the interior is outstanding. I went back and fourth on what I really wanted. I struggled with knowing that I could buy a Lexus and get the ultra comfortable ride and cabin along with outstanding reliability (LS 460). However, a Lexus (including the Gs350) is not nearly the same as this A6 in looks or in performance, IMO. All things considered, the only other option for me would have been a Lexus AWD LS460 in the 2013 model year. I am happy so far buying the Audi, its simply fun to drive.
If you buy an A6, get the 3.0T, you won't regret it. Gas is cheap now, but still gets high twenties on Hwy.

Bought my S6 last month and it's a CPO. Have a warranty till 2020 or 100k miles. Also lucked out and has Audi Care till 45k. Spend a couple of bucks more and try to find an Audi with this!

Yeah! I bought an Audi-branded warranty, which works too. I know they make money on them, but if a good deal, it's worth the piece of mind I won't show up with a several thousand dollar S Tronic replacement, etc. Warranties usually don't change in price by individual features, so a loaded car may be a better relative deal given there's more that could fail
