Noise coming from engine

Do you know whats the problem and if this serious? It's 2012 Audi A6 2.8

Hard to tell from the video, but my first impression was exhaust leak.

Sounds more like a valvetrain issue.

Audi S7 Noise

I have a 2013 Audi S7 with about 40K miles on it. Today I came to a red light and started hearing a loud beeping/whistling type noise coming from under the hood. The noise persists while the car is stopped or in drive and fades after engine is shut off. Attached is a video of the noise.

Any ideas? I figured it could be an air valve or pump of some sort but the noise is rather loud. Video below to listen
