Build times
Looks like I might have to order a car as there are not any with the options I want. Being quoted 60-90 days and am wondering where everyone fell if they had theirs built. Have seen a few 90 day mentions in other threads but not too many with something shorter. 90 days just feels like an eternity.

I think you will be too late for a 2013 to be honest. A year ago about this time I made the decision to order my car. I was told 2012 was shut off and I had to wait until the official release of the 2013 order guide. I was a week or a couple days too late I was told. I ordered mine April 14th 2012. It took me 6 months to get my car (audi exlusive color choice). Talk about eternity. I would have killed for 90 days. I was originally quoted 120.
From my lurking on the sites and seeing others talk, there is one way to get your car closer to 60 days. Your order has to match that of an already built dealer inventory car that is not already allocated to another buyer. For the A6, that is not easy to do as inventory levels on these cars stay thin. It is not like buying a Chevy where your optioned car exists 1000 times over at other dealers.
My personal advice, is wait for the 2014 order guide even if 2013 is still open. See what new toys might be out in the 2014. My car has start/stop (which I actually like), and I did the rear sun shades, and had the option for the 360 camera. All of these were not 2012 options. I also think the Exclusive Color Program may not have been an option for 2012 or at least as late in the ordering year as I was about to do. Long story short, you are days away from the 2014 guide coming out. I have not heard rumors about anything being new or not, but what is a couple days. Good luck with your decision.
