Just received an email from Audi for 50% off a 30-month plan. That would put it at $225 or $7.50 / month which is very reasonable. Might have to pull the trigger now because I really have missed it, especially saying "online destination" and finding my destination without having to find it through my phone.

My trial period is almost up and I just received my Lycamobile sim. If I receive this offer I may stick with Audi.

Dangit. It was a very misleading email. Still the full price. Here is the body of the email:

"Bring connectivity back to your Audi when you renew your Audi connect account with this impressive offer: Sign up for 30 months of Audi connect and receive 50% off.* "

The thing is that the 50% references the monthly amount in a prepaid 30 month plan vs a paid monthly month-to-month plan. It does not state this anywhere in the email even where the asterisk is. Very very misleading but glad I called. They listed pricing for each plan in the email but the way it is worded leads me to believe it is 50% off that rate. I might have a case here as it doesn't state what the discount is in reference to (prepaid vs monthly), just that if you order a 30-month plan you get 50% off. Doesn't say 50% off the monthly paid price.

I rec'd the same email - it was not misleading. It is simply the discount of 50% from the monthly rate that has been in place for a while now

Agreed. The regular monthly price of $30 per month has not changed since Audi Connect was introduced. The 30 month prepaid offer which began in 2013 was 50% off. There's nothing new here or misleading - the offer is still 50% off the monthly price. False alarm.

I've never been able to get my Lycamobile Sim to work. I've tried everything I can think of. The distressing thing happens as follows: I remove the original Sim and insert the Lycamobile Sim I bought. I turn on the system and load in all the Lycamobile information. About the time I finish loading, my MMI locks up and I can't access anything. I turn-off the ignition, re-insert the original Sim and the MMI does not lock-up, but of course I have no data connection either.

I'm pissed. I just renewed for one year at $324.00. Do you think I can call Audi Connect and ask for the discount on the 30-month plan?

If you just purchased it, you should be able to get T-Mobile to convert to the 30 month offer for the difference.
