Hi mates, I have an important question, I have the rims on my audi a6 c7 17 inch, I wanted to change into 19 I checked the manufacturers list for suitable tyres measuring 255/40 R19
But I saw one of neighbours has the same car and he set winter tyres
255/45 r 19 is that suitable??? And does it make any problems, I need answer upon real knowledge or experience because I need to buy the tyres according to your answer in 2 weeks

The problem you will have with the 45 profile over the recommended (factory spec) 40 profile tyre is that the rolling circumference of the tyre will be longer (2236mm vs 2157mm) https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/t...ire-dimensions and hence you speedo will under read slightly as the wheel will be doing fewer rotations. Upside of the 45 profile tyre is there will be slightly more flex in the side wall so the ride will be smoother
