I've been able to analyze the buzz on my B7 in some depth. There's stretch of freeway I drive regularly and the pavement texture excites the buzz and it's constant.

There's a strip of metal just below the steering column that you can see and touch in the space between the column and the lower dash trim panel provided you have the steering wheel positioned fairly high. If I apply firm pressure on the metal strip, the buzz goes away. I think the fasteners holding the strip have loosened.

Goes in next week.

Default Resolution

Rattle from the center speaker grill of the dash -- Center dash speaker cover/deforts outlet bracket latch inadequate. Audi tech assistance center advised to replace the defrost outlet bracket and modify rand insulate with Audi approved insulating material. Seems resolved

Rattle coming from underneath the horn pad -- Trim under steering column not positioned securely. Removed trim piece and modified with Audi approved insulating material. Seems resolved.
