A6 vs 2015 Sonata

Lane assist will turn off if the driver doesn't take the wheel after a lane adjustment is made by the car. Hyundai disabled this safety feature for the video to allow their cars to take the turn.

I knew what it does - I just wasn't sure if it turns off if there is no driver intervention. Apparently, it does.

The lane assist and brake guard have taken my wife's side on a long standing disagreement we have had about my driving habits. All these years she has from time to time said "you are too close to the line" and "you are following that car too close." Now the lane assist and brake guard tell me the same thing from time to time! Lol. But seriously, these are great safety features for highway driving. I'll never have a new car without them.

As I said, it's a fun toy but I wouldn't trust it to save my paint yet alone a complete lane crossing.

Got a little late to the party but I went through a similar feeling after owning my BMW 535i for a few months and decided to go for a "more bang for your buck" kind of car and off loaded it to get a Honda Accord coupe. Worst mistake ever. Yeah, the car will get you from point A to point B and with a claimed 278HP is no dog but the you just can't compare the feel of driving a German car to anything else. Needless to say six months later I traded it in for my A6. I was not the most popular person in my household for a while! but that being said, you have to know what you take pride in and go for that, not the "value" proposition.
