Anyone actually purchased the Audi ski rack/bike rack? Its clear to me with my growing family that I need to move the skis to the top of the car. Curious if anyone has the one Audi makes or an aftermarket and can compare/contrast between the two. We'll have 4 pairs of skis up there, if that matters.

It kinda looks like the Audi one actually is bolted into the frame versus the clamp style. I like bolts.

The Audi one is also somewhat attractive for use of my TDI goodwill dealer dollars.

I bought the Audi carrier bars for my '13 A6. They fit nicely and are high quality. I have yet to use them (still in original box). If you are interested let me know. I will send you a PM with specs.

Here's another option you might consider: Yakima clip on bars.

I put these on my '05 A6 and drove cross country between Silicon Valley and Indiana 3 times with them on and a Yakima bag. 99.8% of the time, I had them hung up on my wall in my garage, but they were easy to clip on the roof when I did want them. I still have them, and I suppose I could get different Q Tower clips for my S6 if needed.
