Default 2016 Audi A6 New Owner - Tips and suggestions ???

Hi everyone, I am extremely excited to be taking delivery of my new A6 3.0T this Saturday, and I know I will be spending quite a bit of time with the manuals over the next few days after delivery.

But to help with a jump start, are there any tips or guesstions that you can provide to a new Audi owner?

Any features or functions that I need to pay attention to? Things to do, or not to do, etc.?

Thanks very much.

Things to do: find a nice quiet on ramp, put it in sport mode, and enjoy. I do it daily with a smile.

Lol..thanks. I will ask my saleman how to put it in Sports mode.

Is that mode strictly for highway. Comfort mode for daily city driving?

Not at all. You can be in any mode at any time. You just bump the shifter down to change between and it appears on your instrument panel display. The modes change the throttle response and downshift/up shift timing. However personally I do drive in sport in the highway and regular in stop and go traffic. Some of the car gurus here may add more detail.

Dumb question: If I need to get out the car a few minutes, but want to keep the engine running, do I leave the key inside the car or take it with me?

I usually stop by my local coffee shop every morning, leave the car running and go inside to grab a cup of coffee and come right out. Don't want to get locked out of the car and look like an idiot.

Really depends on the situation. If you use the auto start/stop feature, your engine may turn off as soon as you park and the car will turn itself off when you open the door. You'll have to read the manual on how to manipulate it.

Which tires does everyone put on their A6?

Being in the Northeast, I really need great All Season tires and both the Michelin AS3 and Conti DWS 06 seem to get great reviews.

How good are those Goodyear tires that come with the car?
