Looks quite interesting. Wonder how the new infotainment system and night vision improves over the current version.

Thanks, John. Extremely subtle (other than the DRLs). Will be interesting to see what trickles down to those of us here in the U.S.

Audi Reveals 2015 A6 Facelift with New Engines, Gearbox and Matrix LED - autoevolution

Perhaps I am wrong but it looks like these changes are not going to hit the U.S. until the 2016 model year. Is that normal for Audi, that the U.S. is always that far behind?

I'm very interested in learning which 3.0 TDI model makes it to the USA. I assume they will only offer one TDI option.

Yes, North America is usually one model year later than ROW for updated models. US 2016 models should begin delivering in early July next year.

If you look at some of the videos of the new S7 refresh you can see that they display the map in the center display in between the RPM and MPH readings now. This is probably one of the improvements that require the new Nvidia TEGRA chip...

The upgraded graphics chip should make it quicker and as already mentioned the DIS display is new. Also the new system supports 4g/LTE for Audi Connect via the in-dash SIM. I have read elsewhere that those with the MMI Plus system will be able to update the navigation data on the hard drive via an SD Card and a MyAudi account rather than having to go to the dealer. There has also been talk that (at least in Europe) Audi will be moving to free navigation data updates every 6 months for the first three years of ownership. Hopefully this model will benefit from that change.

Thanks for the info.
As expected, the facelifted A6 follows the changes announced for the facelifted A7.
My biggest question is "is matrix LED lighting eventually going to be available in America?", but I am realistically not expecting much.

Most likely not until GM or Ford comes up with it too. Can't let the unions lose their jobs to the dreaded foreign makers.
