2014 versus 16 wheels- 19 inch- Wheel Weight?
I just picked up a 2016 A6 prestige with some very good looking 19 inch wheels. My 2014 A6 wheels have fewer spokes, but both are good looking. I think the 16's are fancier but wondering how I can determine the wheel weights? Maybe Discount Tire can weigh them when in for balancing? Anyone have a. preference? Top one is a file photo of the 2016 19 inch wheel. Bottom one is the 2014. Looking to keep the lighter wheels perhaps for better MPG?

They are both likely cast=heavy so it will make no real difference, just choose which you think looks best.
I have those exact bottom wheels as winters for my S6 albeit it in 7.5" width they weigh 28.4 lbs.
Lighter wheels help your acceleration and handling, but is most noticeable when you significantly drop weight to very light like 17lb forged wheels...and any gas mileage increase between those two wheels will likely be insignificant.
You'd probably increase your mileage more by bumping up your air pressure.
A quick google search for the 2016 wheel (4G9601025K) indicates it weighs between 30-33 lbs.

- Thank You. I have always stuck to OEM wheels on my fleet of Audis and VW's. Perhaps I should consider some aftermarket lighter ones. Would that make any difference in MPG? Who makes the best wheels out there? Would the handling on a lighter wheel feel more jittery or extra responsive? I prefer to have some fluff factor on the wheel since mainly highway driving.

Some OEM Wheels are manufactured by OTTO FUCHS Fuchsfelge. Lots of info including weights on their site:
