5. Do it!
6. Go Back to close.

Deactivate Seat Belt Chime

1. Select Electronics 1
2. Select Block 17
3. Select 10-Adaptation
4. Select "IDE03867 – Deactivate Seat Belt Warning" from drop down menu
5. Under new: Open and select yes
6. Test
7. Do It!
8. Go back to close.

Video in Motion:

1. Select 5F-Information Electr.
2. Adaptation-10
3. In the drop down menu starting at Channel IDE11502-FB_CAR_0, change anything ‘blocked’ to ‘non_blocked’. Do It! After each. I Changed : Car: 3, 12, 17, 18, 2, 6, 7; Media: 0, 2, 7; Misc: 10, 13, 15, 18, 2, 23, 25, 28, 3, 30, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9; Nav: 4, 8; Phone: 4, 7, 8; Tuner: 2, 3, 6.
4. In the drop down menu starting at Channel ENG167428-nhtsa_properties-limitation_dependency, change all android and apple(Carplay) to ‘not activated’. Do It! After each. I Changed:Android: 1, 2, 3, 4;Carplay: 4.
5. Go Back, etc.
6. Restart/reset MMI (hold on/off **** down for 10 seconds).

Turn Signal Blinks (Soft)

1. Select 46 – Central Convenience
2. Security Access (Open hood)
3. Adaptation -10
4. Pull down menu, select IDE04923-Turn signal-freeway flashing-flashing cycles

Deactivate Seat Belt Chime is obvious. What do the other 3 changes accomplish?

Gear selector will display the gear you are in as oppose to just D or S.

VIM is self-explanatory... you can play video while the car is moving.

Turn signal blinks is just a value. I think the default is 3 blinks.

Is there a consolidated list / thread of C8 VCDS and/or OBDeleven tweaks somewhere like this one for the B9 A5/S5/RS5: ***Official*** B9 A5/S5/RS5 OBDEleven Coding Thread (Updated 5/20/2019)? I’ve seen it referenced but not found it.

So quick question. If I want to disable VIM only for my USB drive, do I only have to change the value to not_blocked for only the Media channel and leave the others as default or do I have to do the rest of the channels as well? Do I also have to change the Channel ENG167428-nhtsa_properties-limitation_dependency if I don't want to use Android or CarPlay?

Thanks for your help and finding these out!

I have a 2017 Q7. Would you know where the VCDS codes are?

Many of the codes are the same I'm sure. If you want a better answer, I suggest asking on the Q7 forum.

Were you able to apply the same VIM instruction/steps on your C8 A7 successfully?

OBD11 has Scandinavian DRLs which I highly recommend. Basically it keeps the tail lights on and doesn't turn off the front drl when turn signal is on, it dims it.
