S5 Color choices - help!
I'm debating whether to get ibis white or meteor gray with the carbon fiber inlays, leather/A.C. inserts, fully loaded. I've seen the Ibis in person and like the way the color contrasts with the black/shadows/chrome on the car. It definitely enunciates the lines of the car better than other colors.
Does anyone have any high detail real world pics, other than the ones in the URL below, that really shows how the Meteor Gray metallic looks like under different lighting conditions? So far I'm getting the impression that the gray is more of an ashy gray than a dark gray.
Thanks for the help, this color is elusive!
PS
Don't know about you guys, but this is disgusting!:

Re: You are correct, it is not dark gray, It is ashen and blueish...its a 'cold' gray
I just ordered an S5 Tip in Meteor Gray without seeing this color in real life. I hope I won't regret =(

You Won't Regret getting Meteor Gray
I have one and it's beautiful...and I'm not a 'gray' person but I love the meteor gray. It has a blue tone to it but it's a warm blue/gray. I disagree that it's a cold gray, at least not in the sun. It goes well with the carbon fiber and the magma red seats. Now if only I can find brake caliper paint that is in the same tone as the magma red.

Pics of Meteor Gray are nearly worthless
It's a really hard color to photograph with any fidelity. And since 90% of camera users have no idea how to properly set white balance, and a further 90% of computer users have poorly calibrated displays, the chances of seeing a representative photo are next to none.
I looked at a million pictures of Meteor before I ordered, and I was pretty sure I would like it. And now that I have it, I can say I love it. But I can also say I never saw a picture that shows the color's true character. Beacuse it's a pearl effect paint, it's very complex and changes in different lighting conditions. Sometimes it looks distinctly blue, sometimes it's as neutral as a thundercloud. It's a fabulous color that i don't regret for a second. I have always had black cars, but I've never been as pleased as I am with this shade of gray. It's not too light (like Quartz Gray, which is just a glorified silver), and not too dark (no one will mistake it for black).

^^^ding^^^but it is a very unique and good looking color that does change depending on the light
which gives it a lot of character. My old Nimbus Gray TT i loved for the same reason as it looked different in every light. My Daytona gray not so much it looks lighter or darker but does not change completely.

Totally agree. People always blame over/underexposure on their inaccurate digital images...
while it really is the white balance that matters. I have seen Meteor in person and I have never seen a color that changes that much with different lighting conditions. The problem for me is that i only like the color in the sun, where it is a beautiful matte-blueish-grey.
