AutoWeek needs S5 owners
We at AutoWeek are reviewing the new S5 and we need a few owners' responses to go along with it. We need price paid with destination but before taxes, name and location, likes, dislikes, other cars considered and anything else you would like to add in a few paragraphs. If any of you guys own one and would like to be in AutoWeek, send responses to autofile@crain.com. We would send out a few copies to anyone whose response we use. Thanks in advance!

how about a piece on all the people who have "loaned" audi deposit money
since last year who are still waiting for any word on when (if) their cars will even be built

audi not only builds the cars, they decide when they will be built, how is that a dealer problem?
Even in terms of the lack of information, we know so little because the dealer knows so little.
There are a large number of people who placed actual 6-sp orders before tiptronics were even available to order. How come they are fulfilling tiptronic orders before clearing out the backlog of 6-sp orders placed prior to tiptronic availability?
How come the number of s5's in total coming into the us each month is at the pace of a slow drip?
I'm not begrudging anyone their car, congrats to them, but I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't **** me off when people who placed orders in jan/feb receive build dates while there is still a sizeable group of people who placed orders months earlier sitting around with no word.

Write about the hundreds of orders not filled :)
why not write an article about the people who have ordered vehicles in 2007 who still haven't recieved there vehicles. That would be interesting to see Audi response based on this info hitting the national media, BMW didn't drop the ball with the introduction of the new e90/92 M3. Lets see what there response would be.

Supply is Audi's thing, certainly, but the decision to take deposits is that of the dealers...
So, if you want to gripe about the actutal deposits/loans, gripe about the dealers. I do agree with you that the lack of clear communications between dealers and Audi regarding timing, quantities, etc., is frustrating.
